Counter Sales

NSC Staffing has an immediate opening for a Counter Sales position in Sarasota, Florida. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Pay rate $18.00-$20 hourly

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and personable Counter Sales Representative to join our fast-paced metal supply operation. This role is responsible for assisting customers with product inquiries, processing orders, and providing excellent customer service through multiple channels including walk-in customers, phone calls, and website inquiries.

The ideal candidate is a go-getter with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a busy environment while delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist walk-in customers with product selection, pricing, and order placement
• Respond to customer inquiries from phone calls, emails, and website submissions
• Process sales orders accurately and efficiently
• Provide product information and recommendations based on customer needs
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely order fulfillment
• Maintain strong customer relationships through professional and friendly service
• Follow up on quotes and inquiries to convert opportunities into sales
• Support daily counter operations in a fast-paced metal distribution environment

Qualifications:

• Previous counter sales, inside sales, or customer service experience preferred
• Experience in metal distribution, construction materials, or industrial products is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume environment
• Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven mindset
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn order entry systems

Preferred:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Experience handling high-volume customer interactions
