About
Responsible for design engineering of electrical systems. Oversees and coordinates work with designated subcontractors. Ensures compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, RTOs and ISOs requirements. Coordinates the design of electrical systems for microgrids and Data Centers Establishes and reviews project requirements, develops project schedules, and coordinates their implementation Creates and reviews electrical system design work products Performs interdisciplinary review of work products of interfacing disciplines and owner review/acceptance of subcontractor work products Performs other duties as assigned Requirements:
A minimum of a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program A minimum of 5 years of experience in the commercial power industry with focus on design or systems engineering Knowledge of electric power distribution, load following, dynamic Data Center power demand, energy storage. Familiar with Grid-Forming Control, Grid-Following Control and EPMS. Extensive experience using ETAP to perform Microgrid Power System Analysis, distribution network analysis, load flow, short-circuit, protective relaying and coordination analysis Experience with I&C systems for steam generation, steam valves, safety systems and integration of closed-loop SCADA controlled systems applied to turbo-machinery and industrial processes. Experience supporting cross-functional teams including diverse engineering disciplines, operations, maintenance, planning, etc. Participation with industry standards associations or working groups Demonstrated project management skills Benefits:
