About
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Coordinator – Import to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will manage the full cycle of import and export operations, ensuring smooth and timely cargo movements while maintaining excellent communication with global partners and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate bookings and maintain communication with freight forwarders and suppliers.
General Responsibilities (Quality & Compliance):
- Maintain traceability records and ensure documentation is readily available to support recall readiness.
- Assist with internal and external audits as required.
Role-Specific Duties:
- Communicate with shipping partners to ensure goods are dispatched according to purchase order requirements; address and resolve issues related to pricing, shortages, or overages, and keep internal stakeholders informed.
- Confirm logistics partners and maintain regular shipment status reports, ensuring updates are shared with relevant teams.
- Ensure all required documentation is received, reviewed, and submitted for customs clearance, including verifying packing lists for accurate lot code information to support product traceability.
- Monitor and track shipments, providing updates to carriers and warehouse teams regarding incoming deliveries across multiple locations.
- Verify that received goods align with commercial invoices and customs documentation; report any discrepancies such as damages or shortages.

•2-3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination
• Ability to communicate effectively with shippers, carriers, and the internal team
• Bilingualism in French and English is required for this position as it involves frequent collaboration and discussions with colleagues and partners across Canada. These interactions utilize proficiency in both French and English to effectively perform the duties associated with the position.
