Data Science sits at the core of the business - underwriting quality, pricing accuracy, experimentation, and portfolio performance directly impact growth and profitability across the platform. The Role This is a high-impact Data Science role focused on building machine learning and optimization systems that power underwriting, personalization, pricing, and portfolio management decisions. You’ll work across the full lifecycle of modeling and experimentation — from causal inference and forecasting to production ML systems and observability. This role requires strong technical depth alongside the ability to communicate insights clearly across product, engineering, and business teams. What You’ll Be Doing Develop machine learning and causality models used for underwriting and portfolio management decisions Build credit, personalization, ranking, and pricing algorithms Design and analyze experiments to guide product and algorithm decisions Lead machine learning infrastructure initiatives, including ML operations and observability Work with large-scale transactional and behavioral datasets to drive business performance Partner cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business stakeholders What They’re Looking For 5+ years of Data Science experience Strong background in machine learning, forecasting, and statistical modeling Deep understanding of causal inference, experimentation, and measurement methodologies Experience formulating and solving optimization problems Advanced Python and SQL skills Strong communication skills with the ability to drive business impact through analysis Nice to Have Experience in lending, credit, consumer finance, or marketplace environments Exposure to pricing or recommendation systems Experience working with ML infrastructure or production ML systems Background in fast-paced, high-growth technology companies Why This Role Direct impact on underwriting, pricing, and portfolio performance at scale Opportunity to work on complex ML and optimization challenges tied directly to revenue and growth Lean, highly technical team with strong ownership and autonomy Competitive compensation, equity, and strong benefits package
