Position Summary

The Inventory Control Supervisor leads a team of 23 non-exempt colleagues within CVS Health's Orlando Distribution Center, overseeing all inventory control functions including returns processing (Front Store & RX), damages, Non-Productive Inventory (NPI) removal, cycle counting, slotting, and root cause analysis. This role is responsible for directing daily workflow, driving team performance to meet and exceed operational targets, and sustaining inventory accuracy and compliance standards. The Inventory Control Supervisor partners with DC leadership to ensure seamless cross-functional coordination and contributes to a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Hire, onboard, train, schedule, and assign daily work to all direct reports

  • Manage team performance through timely feedback, coaching, and the formal performance review process to drive engagement, motivation, and professional development

  • Conduct performance appraisals, training sessions, and PUMPS utilizing operational reports, summaries, and standard procedures

Inventory Control Operations

  • Maintain a high level of performance across all Inventory Control functions: cycle counting, slotting, returns processing (FS & RX), damages disposition, NPI removal, Golden Zone compliance, and root cause analysis — in accordance with CVS Health's IC, Quality, and Compliance standards

  • Execute daily operational plans in compliance with all SOPs, processes, and enterprise strategies to meet daily targets and enhance operational excellence

  • Define task priorities and establish assignments to respond to operational needs and urgencies with sound decision-making

Standards, Safety & Compliance

  • Manage and sustain high standards through 5S, Lean methodology, and facility cleanliness across the DC using CVS Health SOPs and protocols

  • Promote, reinforce, and hold all colleagues accountable for safety, security, awareness, and regulatory compliance

Operational Coordination & Continuous Improvement

  • Coordinate processes and assignments with leadership across all DC areas to achieve a balanced workload and meet daily operational metrics

  • Strive to meet or exceed all Key Performance Indicators aligned to CVS Health's supply chain pillars: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, and People

  • Drive a culture of initiative, leadership thinking, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years supervising Inventory Control functions within a Distribution Center or Warehouse environment

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience leading non-exempt teams

  • Minimum 1 year of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

  • Background in Six Sigma, Lean, or continuous improvement methodologies

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field

Education

  • Verifiable High School diploma or GED

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,888.00 - $85,068.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
