Physical Therapist Assistant

This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule includes 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with 5 days on and 2 weekend days per month.

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) plays a vital role in assisting the Physical Therapist in delivering patient treatments and managing referred patients. The PTA is responsible for documenting treatments and outcomes, conducting discharge planning, and educating patients, families, and caregivers. The role also includes participation in administrative duties, performance improvement initiatives, and pursuing ongoing professional development.

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering patient care and treatment.
• Document patient treatments and progress accurately.
• Engage in discharge planning and coordinate care with patients and families.
• Participate in administrative tasks and quality improvement projects.
• Pursue professional growth through continuing education and training.

• Must have an active Arizona Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Experience with hospital medical records and the nuance of hospital PT care is a must.
