About
— Partner with product and business teams to understand upcoming initiatives and translate them into actionable delivery plans. Backlog Management
— Stay 4–6 weeks ahead of development teams by building, refining, and prioritizing backlogs in Jira. User Story Creation
— Write clear, detailed, testable user stories and acceptance criteria that enable smooth development and QA. Requirements Gathering
— Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to capture business needs and translate them into functional requirements. Feature Delivery Leadership
— Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure timely delivery of new features for client launches. Agile Collaboration
— Participate in and sometimes lead Agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, retros, stand‑ups). Stakeholder Communication
— Serve as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment, clarity, and transparency. Jira Ownership
— Maintain Jira boards, workflows, and documentation to support smooth sprint execution. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of Business Analyst experience in Agile software development environments. Strong background in requirements gathering and writing detailed functional specifications. Demonstrated ability to lead delivery efforts, manage dependencies, and keep teams unblocked. Hands‑on experience with Jira for backlog management, story writing, and sprint planning. Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, concise, and actionable stories. Experience supporting client‑facing feature launches or product rollouts. Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder‑management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with product roadmaps and long‑range planning. Familiarity with technical concepts (APIs, integrations, data flows) to support more effective story writing. Location This is a hybrid role in Des Moines, Iowa working three days per week in the office, and two days from home.
