About
The CT Tech is responsible for preparing and positioning patients for CT procedures, operating sophisticated CT scanners and related equipment, and ensuring optimal image quality while maintaining strict radiation safety standards and adhering to ALARA principles. You will review orders for appropriateness, verify patient identity, obtain relevant history, and explain procedures to help patients feel safe, informed, and comfortable. This role includes starting IV lines, administering contrast media following established protocols and safety guidelines, and closely monitoring patients before, during, and after examinations for any adverse reactions or changes in condition.

You will document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record, manage and transmit images through PACS, and work with radiologists to ensure studies are complete and diagnostic. The position requires strict adherence to infection prevention practices, proper equipment cleaning, and following all organizational and regulatory standards.
This full-time position involves rotating shifts, including possible evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as participation in an on-call rotation to support emergency and urgent imaging needs. You will be expected to prioritize workload effectively, respond quickly to STAT and trauma cases, and support the Emergency Department, inpatient units, and outpatient services as needed.
