CT/X-Ray Tech

Methodist Health System is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT/X-Ray Tech to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, supporting high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a hospital-based environment. As part of a system dedicated to improving and saving lives across Texas, you will play a critical role in providing accurate imaging that guides timely clinical decisions while delivering patient-centered care aligned with our values of integrity, compassion, and accountability. In this role, you will perform a full range of CT and general radiographic procedures for patients of varying ages and conditions. You will be responsible for verifying orders, screening patients, and collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to determine appropriate imaging protocols. You will position patients accurately, select technical factors, and operate CT and X-ray equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles. You will prepare and administer IV contrast according to protocol and policy, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and provide clear pre- and post-procedure instructions to ensure safety and comfort. The CT/X-Ray Tech will work in a fast-paced clinical environment that may include the Emergency Department, inpatient units, and outpatient areas, often caring for acutely ill or injured patients. You will assist with urgent and emergent studies, prioritize workflow based on clinical need, and support the interdisciplinary team during trauma activations and critical care situations. Using PACS, RIS, and the electronic medical record, you will accurately document procedures, verify patient identifiers, complete required forms, and ensure images and reports are readily available to providers. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt calmly to changing priorities. You will regularly assess image quality, recognize artifacts or positioning errors, and make necessary adjustments to minimize repeats and exposure. You will maintain equipment cleanliness, perform basic quality control checks, and promptly report malfunctions or safety concerns. You will also uphold infection control and patient privacy standards at all times. Candidates should bring hospital-based imaging experience or strong clinical rotations, along with current ARRT certification in Radiography and CT or a clear path to obtaining advanced CT credentials. A Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist license and current BLS are required, with ACLS preferred for those supporting emergency or critical care areas.
