Position Summary 

  • To coordinate, supervise and schedule the activities of the production employee
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other units

Experience 

  • Minimum of three (3) year’s experience in a similar position in the food industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving
  • Leadership
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Responsbilities

  • Ensure production requirements are achieved while meeting quality, yield, efficiency and food / employee safety standards
  • Effectively motivate and direct employees by facilitating/ mentoring continuous improvement
  • Review production schedule for manpower and staffing requirements
  • Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Prepare production reports in an accurate and timely manner
  • Perform / organize employee job training and team meetings to ensure efficient and safe task performance
  • Understand and follow all aspects of the Collective Agreement, and deal with grievances at the primary stage
  • Request and control materials and supplies
