Setting Out Engineer Location: Co. Meath Sector: Construction (Residential / Commercial) Overview We are seeking a motivated Setting Out Engineer to join a well-established construction company delivering projects across Meath and the wider Leinster region. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer to gain hands-on experience on high-quality projects while working closely with experienced site teams. Key Responsibilities Carry out accurate setting out of works in accordance with drawings and specifications Use surveying equipment (Total Station, GPS) to ensure precision on site Interpret drawings and ensure works are delivered to design requirements Support the Site Manager and Project Manager with daily site operations Monitor and check works to ensure quality and compliance Maintain site records, including as-built drawings and QA documentation Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams to ensure smooth workflow Assist with resolving technical issues on site Requirements Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline 1-4+ years' experience in a Setting Out / Site Engineer role Experience working on residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects Strong understanding of setting out techniques and equipment Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Good communication and organisational skills Desirable Experience working with a main contractor Familiarity with GPS and Total Station equipment (e.g. Leica, Trimble) Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability Package Competitive salary (DOE) Company vehicle or travel allowance Strong pipeline of local projects (Meath / Leinster-based) Excellent opportunity for progression to Senior Engineer level Why Apply?
