About your future role

As a Regional / Country CISO, your primary responsibility is to ensure the security of the services delivered by Nexi Group in the DACH region. This involves identifying and mitigating potential security risks, developing and implementing security policies and procedures accordingly to group guidelines and standards.
As the CISO, you will work closely with other members of the executive team to establish security goals and objectives, and to communicate the importance of cybersecurity to all levels of the organisation. In addition to technical expertise, the CISO role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to balance security needs with business objectives.

The CISOs role encompasses the following responsibilities:

  • Creating and executing a country specific information security strategy that is consistent with the Groups's objectives and goals
  • Developing and executing controls to safeguard the organisation's services
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and contractual obligations that relate to information security
  • Supervising the implementation of security measures for network security, access management, end point protection and cloud security
  • Handling security incidents and managing the organisation's incident response plan
  • Delivering regular reports to the board of directors and senior executives regarding the organisation's information security position.

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role:

Technical skills required:

  • Ability to design, implement and continually improve cyber security protocols and procedures for an organization
  • Remain up to date with emerging trends in technology and cyber security, such as cloud security and artificial intelligence (AI)
  • Maintain an overview and understanding of information & physical security internal and external regulatory and international standard requirements (i.e. BaFin MaRisk/BAIT)
  • Business acumen and knowledge of high-level business operations
  • Ability to communicate effectively and transform technological concepts into the business language that other C-suite executives understand
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond swiftly to any cyber security breaches

Education and training:

  • Degree in engineering, computer science or similar paths
  • Certified / familiar on leading cyber security standards from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
  • Certified / familiar with project management methodologies
  • Nice to have certification on security specific path like CISA, CISM, CISSP
  • Professional in English and German
