About
Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an experienced Interventional Rad Tech to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare system. In this role, you will work collaboratively with interventional radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team to perform a wide range of image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment. You will be responsible for preparing procedure rooms, verifying patient identity, reviewing clinical histories, and ensuring that all imaging and interventional equipment is properly set up, calibrated, and functioning according to safety and quality standards. During procedures, you will operate fluoroscopic and other imaging modalities to obtain high-quality, real-time images that guide physicians in performing complex vascular, neurovascular, and body interventions, while monitoring patient status and radiation exposure closely. You will assist with sterile field preparation, contrast administration per protocol, device handling, and specimen management, maintaining strict adherence to infection prevention and radiation safety practices. The Interventional Rad Tech at Piedmont Healthcare plays a key role in patient education and comfort, explaining procedures, answering questions, and providing reassurance to patients and families. You will participate in on-call rotations as needed, support emergency and add-on cases, and coordinate effectively with inpatient units, the emergency department, and other departments to ensure timely, coordinated care. As part of a non-profit, mission-driven system that values respect, innovation, and teamwork, you will engage in ongoing training, cross-training on new technologies, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing outcomes and patient experience. Piedmont Healthcare offers a supportive, inclusive environment where you can grow professionally while contributing to high-quality, evidence-based care. This position is ideal for a dedicated technologist who is comfortable in an interventional suite, committed to patient safety, eager to learn, and motivated to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional interventional radiology services.
