JOB OVERVIEW Yukon Management, LLC (YML) is seeking an experienced
Construction Quality Control Manager
to oversee a federal construction project in the National Capital Region; pending contract award.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Read and interpret specifications, plans, and resource documents to determine requirements and planning procedures as outlined in the RFP.
Develop and implement Quality Control plan.
Maintain current records providing factual evidence that required quality control activities and tests have been performed.
Complete all reports and records in an accurate and timely manner.
Perform daily inspections, document, and update appropriate logs.
Conduct, attend, and participate in project meetings.
Coordinate Three Phase of Control Plan Preparatory, Initial and Final Phases.
Maintain quality control by frequent and regular inspection of work in progress.
Maintain an orderly and clean presence on the job site.
Complete job close-out procedures.
Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; work well in group problem solving situations; use reason when dealing with emotional topics.
Able to work in Quality Control System (QCS)/ USACE RMS 3.0.
Traveling/relocation will be required.
ABOUT YOU
An accredited associate's degree in construction management or a related civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical field.
5 years of specialized experience as a project/job inspector or quality control specialist in a construction environment.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a QC Manager.
Current certificate of completion of Construction Quality Managers for Contractors course is a plus.
Design/Build experience is a plus.
Experience on USACE or Federal projects is required.
Federal Construction/ DOD Experience Preferred.
30-hour OSHA, required.
General knowledge of EM385-1-1.
Ability to recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective measures.
Write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.
Speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
Proficient computer experience including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Project scheduling, RMS 3.0 (USACE contracts) required.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work as a member of a team.
Must complete the "Construction Quality Management for Contractors" within 6 months of contract award.
Strong working knowledge of project planning and scheduling for construction trades.
Detailed knowledge of commercial construction practices and Risk Management.
Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write in the English language fluently.
Must pass pre-employment drug test/physical/background check.
Maintain a clean record to ensure Government badging/background checks.

This position is generally active, requiring routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds. Employee must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times.
