Purpose of the position :

Reporting to the DCM Group Planning Manager, the incumbent plans production and ensures it meets the company’s Just-in-Time standards.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor workload by department;
  • Convert suggested jobs into active jobs;
  • Monitor shortages of raw materials and hardware required for the manufacture of parts;
  • Work closely with the methods and purchasing departments and answer customer service questions;
  • Help team leaders identify late parts;
  • Identify, plan, and report production stoppages or bottlenecks with a view to resolving them or reducing their impact;
  • Collaborate in finding solutions to resolve various production issues;
  • Propose delivery date adjustments in the system to the Director of the Center of Excellence;
  • Take action related to the causes of delays (e.g., follow-up with methods, purchasing, CSR) on identified issues;
  • Ensure the production schedule is consistent with the physical flow. If not, analyze and communicate findings with team leaders;
  • Adhere to quality standards.

Job requirements

Required education

  • College Diploma (DEC) in logistics, operations management, administration, or any other relevant training.

Technical skills

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in planning and/or aerospace (an asset);
  • Intermediate proficiency in French and English, spoken and written;
  • Knowledge of an ERP system;
  • Proficiency with office software: Word, Excel at an intermediate level.
