About

Support US Africa Command Information Systems Security Engineer, working collaboratively as part of a security team to ensure the Command's systems are safe from malign threats. E nsure that security is integrated into the information systems lifecycle, from design to decommissioning. Determine system security requirements necessary for the protection of information systems. Design the overall security layout, ensuring it meets the identified requirements. Implement security protocols to safeguard the system and ensure regular updates and adjustments are made to respond to the newest threats and vulnerabilities. Evaluate computing environments to identify vulnerabilities and non-compliance with established standards, recommending mitigation strategies. Create and oversee the implementation of security policies.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience effectively determining system security requirements and designing robust security architectures

Experience with implementing and maintaining advanced security protocols, ensuring our information systems are protected against evolving cyber threats

Knowledge of developing formal security programs and policies, ensuring organizational adherence to the highest standards of information security

Knowledge of the latest cybersecurity technologies and processes, to conduct technical security assessments and recommending effective mitigation strategies

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional security teams to define and improve information security strategies, aligning with the organization's objectives

Ability to adapt security measures in response to new threats and vulnerabilities, maintaining the integrity and resilience of our information system

TS/SCI clearance

HS diploma or GED and 11+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Asso cia te's degree and 7+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, or Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in Platform Engineering

IAT level II Certification

Additional Qualifications:

Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF), ICD 503, NIST SP800-53, or DCID 6/3

CISSP, ISSEP, or DITSCAP Certification

Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or DoD 8570.01-M IASAE Level 2 compliance certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
