Feniex Industries is an Austin-based public safety equipment and technology company supplying lighting, sirens, and integrated electronic systems to law enforcement, fire, EMS, and commercial fleets. We are roughly 150 employees and are investing heavily in AI to support our internal operations.
*Responsibilities*
* Build and maintain backend integrations with Acumatica (ERP), HubSpot (CRM), RingCentral, Fireflies, Ramp, and Amazon Seller Central. * Develop and extend ingestion pipelines that sync data into PostgreSQL on a scheduled cadence. * Design and maintain the data layer that reconciles records across multiple source systems, including deduplication, conflict resolution, and data quality flagging. * Build query logic for pre-computed dashboards used across departments (sales, operations, customer service, leadership). * Maintain sync observability and reliability, including logging, retry logic, and failure surfacing. * Contribute to backend systems for an internal quoting tool, including pricing logic and product configuration. * Build and maintain backend services that integrate with the OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, including prompt engineering, retrieval, and structured outputs. * Build AI agents and automation workflows to support internal business operations, including agentic workflows that take action across integrated systems. * Work with Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations to extend agent capabilities across third-party tools. * Write clean, tested, production-ready TypeScript.
*Required Qualifications*
* 1-4 years of professional backend development experience. * Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js. * Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL — schema design, queries, indexes, migrations. * Experience integrating with third-party REST APIs, including OAuth and rate limit handling. * Demonstrated, active use of AI-augmented development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) on real projects. * Experience building and shipping production code.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Experience with Drizzle ORM and Supabase. * Experience integrating with ERP or CRM APIs (Acumatica, NetSuite, SAP, HubSpot, Salesforce). * Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP). * Experience building production applications with LLM APIs. * Experience building AI agents, automation workflows, or agentic systems (e.g. tool use, function calling, multi-step reasoning). * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. xawqmyg
