Job Summary:

Woodstock Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, your place to call home, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN/RN Staff Development Coordinator (SDC) to join our team in Woodstock, Georgia. As a key member of our education team, the SDC will be responsible for coordinating and implementing staff development programs, ensuring that our nursing staff receives the necessary training and support to provide exceptional patient care. Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement staff development programs, including orientation, in-service training, and continuing education courses

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive education plan that addresses the needs of our nursing staff

  • Collaborate with other departments to identify training needs and develop programs to address those needs

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff members to improve their skills and knowledge

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of staff development programs and make recommendations for improvement

  • Maintain accurate records of staff training and education

  • Assists with the development of policies and procedures related to staff development and education

  • Participates in the development of the center's budget and ensuring that the education department stays within budget

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of experience

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Familiarity with med-surg and rehabilitation settings
