What We're Looking For:
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program or equivalent (required).
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography or registry-eligible (required).
• Current Louisiana State Radiographer license (required).
• Preferred: 1-2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
• Strong knowledge of mammography imaging techniques, radiation safety, and quality standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, safety, and infection-control practices.

You will perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care and maintaining high standards for image quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Position and instruct patients to obtain optimal images while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Operate mammography and radiographic equipment accurately and safely.
• Produce high-quality images and evaluate technical quality prior to submission.
• Corroborate clinical history with ordered procedures to ensure proper exams.
• Explain procedures to patients and reduce anxiety through clear communication.
• Apply radiation safety principles to minimize risk to patients and staff.
• Perform daily quality control testing and maintain required documentation.
• Maintain compliance with MQSA, ACR, FDA, Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies.
• Prepare and distribute mammography result letters per protocol.
• Follow up with patients requiring additional views or ultrasound.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and imaging staff.
• Supervise and train radiologic technology students as appropriate.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, and CPR/BLS requirements.
• Participate in department meetings, performance improvement initiatives, and required education.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
