Responsibilities:
New Increased Rates!
Per Diem Requirement:
Work a minimum of 2 shifts per month (6- or 8-hour shifts). Shifts may include days, evenings and Saturdays at Phoenixville Hospital & the Limerick Outpatient Center, according to department needs.
No on-call or holiday requirement.
The MRI technologist:
demonstrates an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, contrast agents, MR safety and medical terminology.
Maintains a high degree of accuracy in positioning and technique.
performs MRI procedures according to established protocols to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician.
Prepares and administers contrast at the direction of the radiologist in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Ensures the delivery of quality care in a safe environment for infant through adult patients. The MR technologist remains sensitive to the physical, cultural and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner.
engages in continuing education to enhance patient care, public education, knowledge and technical competence while embracing lifelong learning.
uses independent, professional and ethical judgment, along with critical thinking in performance of duties.
Qualifications:
Education Requirements
Post High School Diploma Program
Experience
Minimum 1 Year MRI Tech Experience
Certification and Licensure
BLS Certification
Registered as an MRI Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist RT (R) (MR) or Registered as an MRI Technologist with the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT)
