Position Description

The Arnold Healthy Kids Initiative is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Post Doctoral Fellow to support several NIH-funded research projects focused on improving sleep and dietary behaviors in children to enhance their overall health and well-being.
This position plays a key role in coordinating behavioral clinical trials and contributing to all phases of the research process. Primary responsibilities include assisting with study implementation and participant coordination, supporting data collection and analysis, and ensuring adherence to research protocols and timelines. The role also involves contributing to the preparation of manuscripts and grant applications, delivering scientific presentations at regional and national conferences, and identifying and applying for fellowship and research funding opportunities.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative research environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with an interest in pediatric health, behavioral research, and clinical trial coordination.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
* Requires a Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in area of research specialty.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications
* Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in public health, behavioral science, nutrition, exercise science, psychology or a related field
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Strong leadership skills and potential to mentor graduate and undergraduate students
* Experience with management and analysis of complex datasets, including experience with SAS, SPSS, STATA, or R
* A strong track record of publications in scientific journals.
* Experience in health promotion, community-based prevention/intervention, and/or health disparities research
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
* Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing English
* Strong interpersonal skills sufficient to inspire, lead, and work effectively with diverse groups.
* Ability to effectively direct, manage, and lead professional and support staff.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with proven ability to strategize, prioritize, and multitask to meet goals and deadlines.
* Ability to make presentations and prepare reports.
Job Duties
Job Duty
Oversee intervention implementation. This includes, but is not limited to, recruitment and retention protocols and procedures, detailed tracking sheets of study related activities such as participant attendance and intervention content delivery, and scheduling participant's intervention sessions and assessments.

Preparing scholarly manuscripts and conference presentations. The postdoc will assist with data analysis, manuscript writing, and developing conference presentations. This will involve working closely with the Principal Investigators to ensure that data presentations are clearly analyzed and summarized.

Assist PI with training of research staff and supervision / mentoring of graduate students working on writing and conceptualizing fellowship grants, peer-reviewed manuscripts, and conference presentations from the data collected via the National Institutes of Health funded studies.
