This role combines deep technical expertise across cloud, on-premise infrastructure, and cybersecurity with pre-sales engineering and solution design.You will be responsible for delivering secure, scalable infrastructure solutions while also partnering with leadership and sales to scope and architect client engagements. This is a hands-on role requiring both engineering execution and strategic input.What Youll DoInfrastructure & Cloud Engineering Design, deploy, and manage hybrid environments across cloud (Azure/M365/AWS) and on-premise infrastructureAdminister and support core platforms, including: Servers (Windows / Linux)Networking (firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, Switching, VLANs & routing)Hyperconverged infrastructure (e.g., Nutanix, HCI stacks)Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, AHV)Business-critical applicationsEnsure high availability, performance optimization, and disaster recovery readinessSupport software development and data teamsLead infrastructure migrations, upgrades, and modernization initiativesSupport identity, access, and Zero Trust frameworks.Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver end-to-end IT solutions.Security Engineering & OperationsImplement, configure, and manage security solutions across client environments, including:Firewalls (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Palo Alto, SonicWall, etc.)Web Application Firewalls (WAF)Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and identity securityCertificate lifecycle management (PKI, SSL/TLS)Microsoft 365 and Azure security (MFA, Conditional Access, etc.)Conduct and remediate:Vulnerability assessments and scanningPenetration test findingsSecurity audits and compliance gapsMonitor and respond to security events, ensuring timely remediation and risk reductionEnforce security best practices and secure-by-design architecturePre-Sales Engineering & Solution DesignPartner with leadership and sales to:Scope technical requirements for prospective clientsDesign secure, scalable IT and security solutionsAssist in developing statements of work (SOWs) and project estimatesParticipate in client-facing meetings as the technical subject matter expertTranslate business needs into actionable technical architecturesImplementation & DeliveryLead deployment of infrastructure and security solutions (hardware and software)Perform system installations, configurations, and cutoversEnsure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with best practicesCreate and maintain technical documentation and runbooksProvide after-hours and on-call emergency support as required, including evenings, weekends, and during critical maintenance windows or incident response situationsLeadership & CollaborationCoach, mentor, and support junior engineers and technical staffAct as a technical escalation point for complex issuesCollaborate closely with leadership on technology strategy and service offeringsDrive continuous improvement across processes, tooling, and service deliveryWhat You Bring5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, and networking.Strong hands-on experience with:Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, M365, Active Directory)Networking experience fundamentals (firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, routing)Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, AHV)Endpoint and identity security controlsActive Microsoft Cloud Certifications, such as:Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert (MS-102 or equivalent)Active CCNA or Network+Proven experience deploying and managing security technologiesAbility to scope, design, and deliver client solutions end-to-endAuthorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship current or futureBonus Points ForCertifications like AZ-500, CCNP, Security+, ISC2 CC, CISSP or CCSP.Consulting or Managed Service Provider (MSSP, MSP) background.Familiarity with compliance & security frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST, ISO, HITRUST, etc.)Who You Are
