Title
Interventional Radiology - Cardiac/Vascular
Schedule
Call: 9-10 call shifts per 6-week schedule (includes weekends)
Weekends: Included in call schedule
Assignment Details
Unit type: Split lab (Cardiac, Vascular, Interventional Radiology)
Daily census: 16; 3 procedure rooms
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT(R) or CCI RCIS
- Core interventional skills: vascular/cardiac interventions (angioplasty/PTCA/PCI), stent placement, embolization, hemodynamic monitoring, left/right heart catheterization, central venous/port access, pacemaker/AICD insertion/management, IVC filter placement, dialysis graft procedures, sterile technique, scrub/circulator roles
- GA or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations.
- Conduct vascular interventions such as stent placements and embolizations.
- Manage hemodynamic monitoring during procedures.
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure effective patient care during procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and assist in the preparation of procedure rooms.
Compliance / Notes
- Full compliance required to start on time; failure to comply on schedule may delay start by 2 weeks.
- Compliance document deadline: Tuesday prior to start.
- Request time off (RTO): Maximum 7 dates; RTO required with submission.
- If 1-2 major holidays fall during assignment, the traveler is expected to work them.
