PCA Team Lead

Pay Rate: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
Location: Middletown, NY

The Eliot at Erie Station is seeking an experienced and compassionate PCA Team Lead to join our assisted living community. This leadership role is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Personal Care Assistant (PCA) team while ensuring residents receive exceptional care, dignity, and respect.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, organized, and passionate about leading caregivers in a fast-paced senior living environment.

• Lead, support, and supervise the daily activities of the PCA team

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and meal assistance

• Ensure quality resident care is delivered consistently and according to care plans

• Assist with scheduling support, shift coverage, and daily staff assignments

• Provide training and mentorship to new and existing PCA staff

• Monitor staff performance and report concerns to nursing leadership

• Maintain accurate documentation of resident care and staff communication

• Respond promptly to resident needs, emergencies, and family concerns

• Promote a positive team environment focused on resident-centered care

• Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety procedures, and state regulations

• Support medication reminders and wellness checks as permitted by role

• Assist leadership with quality assurance and retention initiatives

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• PCA, HHA, or CNA certification preferred (based on state requirements)

• Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience in assisted living, senior care, or long-term care

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred

• Strong communication and team leadership skills

• Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused approach

• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed

• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
