Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) - Cardiac Cath/EP Lab
Schedule
This position offers primarily day shifts with some late-night and on-call requirements, operating on a 4x10 hour schedule.
Job Description
The Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) plays a vital role in supporting invasive cardiac procedures. Responsibilities include preparing the procedure room and sterile field, anticipating equipment needs, operating various devices, and maintaining sterile instruments. The CVT will serve in multiple roles within the procedure team, including scrub, circulator, and documenter/monitor. Strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile procedure environments.
- Assist in invasive cardiac procedures by anticipating required equipment.
- Function as scrub, circulator, and documenter/monitor within procedure teams.
- Operate and manage various cardiac equipment efficiently.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Tech.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI or ARRT (preference for ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- COVID vaccination card showing fully completed COVID series.
- Experience with Right and Left Heart Hemodynamics, Cardiac Interventions, and Structural Heart procedures.
- Mechanical Circulatory Support experience with ECMO, Impella, IABP, and ProtekDuo.
- Critical care or cardiac experience is required.
