POSITION SUMMARY:# Functions in scrub role and as assistant to surgeon during surgical procedures. # EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE: # Minimum Required:# Graduate of an approved program in Surgical Technology, and certified as a Surgical Technician.# BCLS certification; recertification required every two years.# Must be competent to perform in all areas of surgical services. # Preferred:#################### Same # ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:# Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to apply age-appropriate principles of communication and clinical practice relevant to patients of all ages.# Incumbent must demonstrate competence in the use of equipment and application of procedures before being allowed to perform independently.
