About The Role
The Quality Controller (QC) is responsible for executing day-to-day quality control activities on the production floor to ensure products consistently meet quality, food safety, and customer requirements. This role is hands-on and operational, providing immediate quality support to Production through inspections, checks, rework activities, and sample management. The role focuses on execution and verification. Technical problem-solving, Root Cause Analysis, and compliance governance are led by Technical QA and System Analyst functions, with the QC supporting through accurate data, observations, and timely escalation. Success in this role is demonstrated through strong attention to detail, consistent application of quality standards, clear communication with Production teams, and reliable completion of inspections and quality records that support audit readiness and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
Execute quality inspections
including AQL, COF, COA, crease testing, weight, color, and in-process checks to meet specifications. Provide first-response quality support
by identifying issues, containing defects, and escalating to Technical QA when needed. Manage non-conforming product
including rework, pallet sorting, labeling, paperwork, VWT closure, and stock return. Complete assigned quality tasks
with full documentation, sample control, and clear handovers. Manage customer and retention samples
with accurate data entry and audit-ready records. Support complaints processes
by providing timely shop-floor evidence and samples. Maintain GMP and quality standards
through procedures, visual checks, and participation in audits. Support trials and changeovers
by completing checks, escalating deviations, and closing trial activities. Contribute to continuous improvement
by identifying improvement opportunities and promoting quality culture. Qualification
Experience working in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience performing shop-floor quality inspections and checks. Working knowledge of GMP and basic quality standards. Experience handling non-conforming product and rework activities. Ability to complete quality records and documentation accurately. Basic computer skills for data entry and quality systems. Competency
