Timken Gears and Services Philadelphia Gear brand is seeking a Inside Sales Representative based out of our New Castle, DE regional service center. This position supports all customer-related activities related to in-house orders as assigned. Essential Responsibilities:
- Support the regional customer service and sales team with the timely completion of quotes, processing of orders, and providing relevant information as required.
- Gather cost information from historical data, supplier quotes, and internal manufacturing resources for the accurate preparation of cost estimates and application of appropriate margins to quotes.
- Evaluate & Implement customer requirements for the repair, modification, or upgrade of customer's equipment.
- Complete Quote & Order entry processes including all ERP transactions and providing applicable information and data to engineering and supply chain departments.
- Coordinate customer visits, respond to customer requests and inquiries, and generate order progress reports as requested. Occasional travel may be required.
- Coordinate between Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Customers. And provide technical support to suppliers & customers as needed.
- Achieve business plan goal as it relates to customer service levels: timeliness of response to customers, profitability, and on time delivery.
- Expedite orders by working with purchasing and production teams as needed.
Technical/ Functional Skills:
- Administrative and organizational skills to manage both cost and lead-time data.
- Works independently and collaboratively within a team
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
- Meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
Basic Qualifications:
- Applicant must have bachelor's degree and a minimum 2 years' experience or high school diploma and 5 + years of customer service experience
- Ability to work as a member of the company's customer service and engineering teams on various orders
- Excellent computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office software), and strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Epicor
