This organisation designs and manufactures high‑performance products used globally across commercial, defence, emergency services and industrial environments. This is an opportunity to take ownership of full‑cycle mechanical design projects - from concept development through to prototyping, testing and production - within a business known for innovation, quality and engineering excellence. Key Responsibilities
Lead the mechanical design of new and existing products using 3D CAD (SolidWorks or similar). Develop concepts, detailed models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings. Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are optimised for manufacturability. Support R&D, prototyping and testing activities, including material selection and performance validation. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including electrical, fabrication, quality and operations. Contribute to continuous improvement, product enhancements and cost‑reduction initiatives.
