Job Description About the role The Senior Scientist will lead the design and development of innovative reagents and assay solutions for flow cytometry applications, advancing our clinical reagent portfolio. This role is responsible for driving experimental design, developing and executing robust test strategies, and delivering high-quality data to support reagent systems, assays, workflows, and instruments. The Senior Scientist will analyze and interpret complex datasets, clearly communicate scientific findings to technical teams and at scientific meetings, and contribute to solutions that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements. Working cross-functionally with project management, systems engineering, medical affairs, regulatory, quality, marketing, system verification, and clinical trial teams, the Senior Scientist plays a key role in product development from concept through validation. This highly trusted expert applies independent judgment, critical thinking, and deep technical expertise to troubleshoot complex challenges, develop system-level requirements, and prepare protocols, reports, and technical summaries. As a mentor and scientific leader, they support the growth of junior scientists while fostering innovation, rigor, and excellence across the team. Main responsibilities will include: Leads experimental studies in the laboratory and participates in cross functional discussions to support the programs goals. Knowledgeable of customer workflows, scientific and technological advancements. Effective communication of technical concepts/issues of project plans, development of test strategies that balance risk and business objectives and support budget planning based on functional project scope. Lead analysis and presentations of moderate to high complexity at technical reviews May direct and supervise teams or mentor junior team members Serve as a technical contributor on cross-functional core teams, supporting decision making across functions, and provides input to senior management on strategic and functional decisions. About you MSc or PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science or related scientific discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience Experience in leading studies/ projects in the field of flow cytometry. Experience in Flow Cytometry and customer workflows Experience researching and applying scientific principles to create new or optimise existing processes with a focus on Immunology/Immuno-oncology and expertise in immunophenotypic analysis of human tissue samples by flow cytometry preferred. Execute complex experiments independently, perform analysis & interpret experimental results, to make sound conclusions, and perform statistical analysis Apply creative problem-solving skills to novel or complex applications Critically evaluate proposed study designs with knowledge of statistics, the calculation of sample sizes and/or estimation of statistical power Experience researching and applying scientific principles to create new or optimise existing laboratory procedures Experience training bench-level personnel at multiple levels of education and/or expertise Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate with others in multi-disciplinary team settings, influence decision making, and build group consensus Excellent written and oral communication skills Click on apply if this sounds like you!
