About
The Radiologic Technologist will verify physician orders, review patient histories, and select appropriate technical factors and imaging protocols to obtain optimal images with minimal radiation exposure. You will maintain and calibrate imaging equipment, perform quality control checks, and promptly report any malfunctions or safety concerns. Accurate documentation in the electronic medical record, proper image labeling, and timely transmission of studies to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) are essential components of this position. You will follow infection prevention guidelines, support contrast and exam preparation protocols where applicable, and assist with patient transfers and positioning, including patients with limited mobility or complex medical needs.
This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining a calm, reassuring presence for patients and families. You will collaborate with colleagues across disciplines, contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives, and participate in ongoing professional development and training.
