Senior Embedded Software Engineer

• Develop and integrate embedded software for battery management systems, energy storage controllers, and related electronic modules
• Design and implement software based on AUTOSAR Classic architecture (Adaptive a plus where applicable)
• Author, decompose, and manage software requirements aligned to system, safety, and customer specifications
• Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability (system → software → code → test)
• Collaborate closely with Systems Engineering, Hardware, Functional Safety, Validation, and Manufacturing
• Configure and integrate AUTOSAR BSW, MCAL, and SW-Cs using industry tools
• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262, ASPICE, and Clarios’ internal product development standards
• Support customer technical reviews, software audits, and OEM change requests
• Perform code reviews, design reviews, and requirements quality checks
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex system-level issues
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of Clarios software practices

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in embedded software development, preferably in automotive electronics
• Strong hands-on experience with AUTOSAR Classic
• Proven experience in software requirements management, including:
  • Requirements authoring and decomposition
  • Change and impact analysis
  • Traceability using tools such as DOORS, Polarion, Jama, or CodeBeamer
• Proficiency in C (C++ a plus) for embedded systems
• Experience with microcontrollers, RTOS, and low-level drivers
• Strong understanding of V-model development and safety-critical software
• Experience working in a global, matrixed engineering organization

• Experience with battery management systems (BMS), power electronics, or energy storage products
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR configuration tools (e.g., DaVinci Configurator, EB tresos)
• Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS, Ethernet)
• Exposure to functional safety assessments, safety requirements, and safety mechanisms
• Experience supporting OEM customer engagements and technical reviews
• Model-based development (MATLAB/Simulink) experience
• Prior technical leadership or lead-engineer responsibility
