About
Novant Health is seeking a Temp Assignment Based Respiratory Therapist II RRT to provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across its Healthcare & Medical Services facilities in the southeastern United States. In this temporary role, you will perform advanced respiratory assessments, develop and implement care plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions for patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team. Responsibilities include administering and monitoring oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, mechanical ventilation, noninvasive ventilation, and airway clearance therapies; performing arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation; conducting pulmonary function and bedside diagnostic testing; and responding to rapid response and code situations for respiratory emergencies. You will be expected to use advanced respiratory care technology in accordance with current clinical guidelines, while maintaining accurate electronic medical records and ensuring compliance with all safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards. The Respiratory Therapist II RRT in this assignment will also precept and mentor less experienced staff when needed, contribute to care planning and patient education regarding respiratory conditions and equipment use, and communicate effectively with patients and families to support understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
