About the Role We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in analyzing complex datasets, optimizing data-driven processes, and providing insightful recommendations to leadership. This is a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on business strategy by extracting, analyzing, and presenting key data that supports our operational and growth goals.
As a Data Analyst at Everglade Works, you will work cross-functionally with departments like Operations, Marketing, and Engineering, using your skills to interpret data trends, visualize insights, and drive smarter decision-making.
What You’ll Be Doing
Analyze large datasets from a variety of sources (internal tools, external databases, APIs, etc.) to uncover patterns, trends, and insights
Build and maintain data dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio to deliver key metrics to stakeholders
Work with business leaders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop data tracking frameworks
Write SQL queries to extract and manipulate data, and automate routine reports
Interpret data, analyze results, and provide actionable insights that help improve business performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and optimize data-driven processes
Perform ad-hoc analysis on specific data challenges and provide tailored solutions
Ensure data quality and accuracy through regular audits and validations
Present findings to non-technical stakeholders, clearly explaining insights and recommendations
Work alongside Data Engineers to streamline data collection, storage, and analysis processes
Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in data analytics
You’ll Excel in This Role If You
Have 2+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or similar role
Are proficient in SQL, with experience writing complex queries
Have experience using data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)
Are highly skilled in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, advanced formulas)
Have a solid understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques
Are familiar with data cleaning and transformation best practices
Have experience working with large data sets and comfortable working with messy data
Can think critically about data and draw insights that drive business decisions
Are highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-driven
Have excellent communication skills to translate technical findings into business language
Bonus: Experience with Python or R for data analysis, and familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure)
