Title: Senior Automation Design Engineer Location: Nashua, NH (Onsite) Employment Type: Direct Hire (Full-Time) Status: Accepting Candidates About the role Join an engineering team supporting the design and development of advanced manufacturing automation systems. This role focuses on designing automation equipment, improving manufacturing efficiency, and supporting validation and risk management activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing automation equipment using SolidWorks and supporting full project lifecycles from concept through production release. Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, test, and document automation equipment, tooling, and fixtures * Manage multiple complex automation projects from concept through production release * Develop automation solutions to improve production throughput and quality * Perform mechanical design using SolidWorks * Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles * Support development of databases for data analytics and root cause analysis * Support equipment validation and risk management activities * Perform PFMEA and risk assessments * Generate and maintain process documentation and training materials * Communicate project progress and technical results to stakeholders * Mentor junior engineers and support automation roadmap development * Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Required) * Minimum 8+ years of manufacturing automation experience * Experience designing automation equipment and systems * Strong SolidWorks design experience * Experience supporting equipment validation activities * Experience performing PFMEA and risk assessments * Experience supporting manufacturing process improvements * Strong project management and multitasking skills * Strong technical documentation skills * Strong communication and leadership skills * Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience designing automated manufacturing equipment * Experience supporting root cause analysis and data analytics * Experience supporting process validation activities * Experience mentoring engineering teams * Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments * Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations
Compensation
* Estimated salary: Up to $120,000 base * Final salary will be based on skills, experience, and interview results. * Work Schedule: 100% Onsite
