Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for designing custom stainless-steel equipment, conveyors, and fabrication solutions tailored to client specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial equipment design, manufacturing processes, and CAD modeling.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop custom stainless-steel equipment, including conveyors, tanks, platforms, and hygienic systems * Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) * Collaborate with project managers, fabrication teams, and clients to ensure design accuracy and feasibility * Review project specifications and translate requirements into functional designs * Ensure designs meet industry standards, including sanitary and safety requirements * Support production teams with technical drawings, BOMs, and troubleshooting * Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives * Maintain documentation and revision control for all engineering drawings
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience) * 3+ years of experience in design engineering, preferably in manufacturing or metal fabrication * Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) * Experience designing custom equipment or industrial systems * Knowledge of stainless steel fabrication, welding, and manufacturing processes is a plus * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with food-grade or hygienic design standards (FDA, USDA, etc.) * Familiarity with conveyors, automation systems, or process equipment * Experience working directly with fabrication shops or production teams
