Position Description:
The Design / Architectural Project Coordinator supports design and construction-related initiatives by organizing schedules, tracking tasks, maintaining project documentation, and facilitating communication among internal teams and external partners. This role also provides on-site design support and assists with day-to-day decision-making as needed. Prior experience in design or architecture is strongly preferred.
This position is located in Atlanta, GA in a hybrid working environment with some travel to client sites required.
Your future duties and responsibilities: • Serve as the primary point of contact for design, architectural, and construction-related requests, providing timely and clear guidance to internal teams and external vendors. • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify scope, and ensure alignment on design requests. • Prioritize incoming requests in partnership with leadership and keep stakeholders informed of progress, timelines, and next steps. • Manage project timelines, workflows, and deliverables using a project management platform. • Act as a liaison between project leadership, internal teams, and external partners to ensure smooth execution. • Escalate complex or strategic design decisions to appropriate stakeholders when necessary. • Support prototyping, testing, and rollout efforts as projects move from concept to implementation. • Represent design leadership on-site when required, helping to facilitate design or architectural decisions in real time. • Assist with logistics and coordination to ensure projects progress smoothly from start to finish.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: • 5+ years of experience in a design or architecture firm or related environment. • Strong understanding of design standards with a demonstrated eye for creative quality. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and tight turnaround timelines. • Excellent organizational and documentation skills. • Clear, professional, and diplomatic communication skills, particularly when providing feedback or navigating sensitive discussions. • Experience using project management tools. • Ability and willingness to learn new tools, systems, and workflows quickly. • Calm, flexible, and solutions-oriented approach in fast-paced or high-pressure situations. • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. • Experience managing project timelines, resolving roadblocks, and adapting to changes in scope. • Ability to maintain and organize project documentation, reports, and records. • Experience coordinating cross-functional team members to ensure efficient workflows. • Basic understanding of project budgets and overall project progress tracking.
Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with multi-unit or large-scale retail, restaurant, or hospitality brands. • Exposure to prototype management, innovation-focused projects, or regional rollout initiatives. • Experience partnering closely with internal stakeholders across design, construction, operations, or facilities teams.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $70,800.00 - $139,300.00.
