Unique opportunity to practice in a well-equipped state of the art freestanding Interventional Radiology facility. Time will be split between the outpatient facility and hospital setting providing care for Summit Health patients. Interventional Radiology or Surgical experience preferred but training will be provided. Responsibilities include performing minimally invasive procedures, seeing patients in the hospital and clinic setting and participating in department quality improvement activities. No night or weekend calls.Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements:Physician Assistant degree required.1-year relevant experience required; 2-4 years preferred.Physician Assistant New Jersey License required. BLS/ACLS certification required.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.Strong ability to perform diverse work assignments and make decisions with time limitations and with a high degree of accuracy required.Responsibilities include:Assist with all interventional radiology procedures as directed by IR.Injection, exchange and removal of drainage catheters to include GU and GI drains.Imaging guided thoracentesis and paracentesis.Perform vascular access placements and removals including PICCs, Ports, tunneled lines. Perform arthrocentesis and joint injections under imaging guidance.Seeing new consults in clinic and hospital setting.
