Position Type: Full time

Work Schedule:  11AM - 7:30 PM Monday-Friday

What We're Looking For:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Experience: One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Sterile Reprocessing Tech certification, required. CBSPD, CRCST or CSPDT, required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays. Ability to learn and understand medical terminology. Maintains Sterile Processing Technician certification.
What You'll Do:

    • Under the direction of Registered Nursing, the sterile processing technician is responsible for decontamination, cleaning, assembling, inventory, and sterilizing surgical instrumentation.

    • Work performed aligns with establish guidelines, medical facility policies, as well as local, state, and federal requirements.

    • Assists licensed staff and physicians as directed within approved standards. 

    • Performs other related duties as directed. 

    • Works collaboratively with the health care team, is customer focused and strives to meet unit and hospital goals. 

    • Provides quality care according to established practice standards and guidelines for the area(s) assigned. 

    • Must be willing/able to float to other (comparable) nursing units, as requested/needed
