Job Title: Senior QA Engineer Location: Windsor, CT Job Type: 6-Month Contract Compensation: $50.00/hour About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Windsor, CT. In this highly impactful role, you will be the cornerstone of our corporate quality efforts, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, adherence to customer-specific requirements, and alignment with OEM maintenance manuals. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment that blends manufacturing and repair processes to meet diverse aerospace customer demands. Key Responsibilities: QMS & Compliance: Develop and continuously improve quality procedures to ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, CAAC regulations, OEM publications (CMMs, AMMs, SBs), and AS9100/AS9110 standards. Continuous Improvement: Lead root cause investigations and implement robust corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys methodologies. Audit Management: Oversee internal and external audits, including regulatory and customer surveillance audits. Metric Optimization: Manage and drive improvements for quality metrics, including COPQ, inspection findings, escapes, and nonconformities. Cross-Functional Leadership: Interface directly with OEMs, DERs, and regulatory representatives to ensure repair and component traceability. Develop Process FMEAs and Repair Risk Assessments. Mentorship: Train and mentor site personnel on quality policies and quality assurance best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent technical experience). Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality role within a Part 145 repair station or aerospace manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, AS9110/AS9100 standards, and aerospace industry guidance. Working knowledge of OEM technical publications (CMMs, AMMs, SBs, SILs). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical software (e.g., Minitab). Lean/Six Sigma certification is highly preferred. Special process experience or awareness is a strong plus.
