Position Summary: This is not a traditional software engineering role. The Lead AI Solutions Engineer operates within small, high-accountability delivery teams where AI is the operating model, not just a tool. These teams leverage AI to dramatically accelerate delivery velocity, automate engineering workflows, and build intelligent, AI-native solutions across the insurance value stream. This role has two core responsibilities: 1. How You Build Design and operate AI-driven delivery pipelines that automate requirements decomposition, code generation, testing, security scanning, deployment orchestration, and monitoring with minimal human intervention. 2. What You Build Architect and deliver AI-native solutions that replace traditional UI-heavy workflows with intelligent, conversational, predictive, and autonomous user experiences. This role owns end-to-end technical delivery within a business domain and serves as the technical authority for architecture, engineering standards, AI tooling, and delivery patterns. What You'll Do: AI-Native Engineering & Delivery Build and evolve AI-driven software delivery pipelines using agentic workflows and AI-assisted development tools. Design self-monitoring and self-healing systems with strong auditability and operational resilience. Leverage AI for automated testing, code review, anomaly detection, and remediation. Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging AI tools and frameworks. Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to support secure CI/CD delivery practices. Solution Architecture & Intelligent Systems Architect cloud-native solutions on AWS using modern managed and serverless services. Design AI-enabled experiences that simplify and modernize insurance operations. Build secure integrations with internal systems and third-party SaaS platforms. Implement intelligent automation, predictive workflows, and AI-assisted business processes. Technical Leadership & Domain Ownership Serve as the technical lead for a 3–5 person delivery team. Define engineering standards, architectural direction, and delivery patterns. Mentor engineers and elevate team capability. Lead complex troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis. Partner with business stakeholders, product teams, and leadership to align technology with business outcomes. Compliance & Governance Ensure solutions comply with HIPAA, SOC 2, and State Department of Insurance regulations. Define security and compliance guardrails for AI-driven delivery environments. Implement secure authentication, authorization, encryption, and API management standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 6–10 years of software engineering experience, including recent AI-focused engineering work. Strong experience with AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, and modern AI tooling. Deep AWS architecture expertise, including cloud-native and serverless patterns. Experience building AI-native applications, intelligent automation, and predictive systems. Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, API architecture, and enterprise integrations. Expertise with security standards including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and encryption. Proven technical leadership and mentoring experience.
