About

The Senior Industrial Engineer role involves leading the evaluation and implementation of manpower, systems, and corporate projects aimed at reducing operating expenses, increasing revenues, and enhancing customer service.Essential Functions
Developing and implementing operating plans, conducting studies, preparing data, and developing models and analytical tools for engineers and operations.
Leading the transformation of business processes and operational tools to achieve global excellence.
Preparing, analyzing, and monitoring short and long-range plans, including those related to expansion, new products, procedures, GSE, sort equipment, regulatory compliance, government agencies, and manpower needs.
Developing plans for efficient package volume distribution to ensure optimum facility utilization
Leading projects to ensure suppliers and hired professional services comply with policies, procedures, and governing authorities, and that all documentation adheres to FedEx requirements and processes
Monitoring, analyzing, and recommending ways to improve productivity, service, and cost performance.
Leading and serving on special study teams established to investigate and implement projects related to improving total corporate or operational productivity and performance.
Conducting research, evaluation, and recommendations of emerging technologies, business and management techniques, philosophies, and methodologies.
Leading projects and studies in support of objectives, including planning and organizing task assignments, priorities, schedules, and activities for initiatives.
Developing project plans, communication plans, and project status updates for stakeholders
Creating requirement specifications, solution design, system development and testing, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Leading studies to implement innovative engineering concepts into operations, systems, and customer solutions to benefit FedEx and its customers.
Evaluating capital and expense requests, as well as annual and long-range budget processes.
Developing project and operational budgets based on recommendations for cost savings.
Collecting, analyzing, and reporting on financial and operational indicators for corporate and departmental initiatives.
Preparing and presenting business justifications to support funding approval processes.
Designing and delivering technical training to personnel through workshops, seminars, and one-on-one sessions in areas such as operations, manning, contingency planning, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. -
Facilitating communication between operations and corporate departments to provide technical and local expertise related to corporate or department initiatives and operations.
Perform other duties as assigned Minimum EducationBS degree in industrial engineering or a related field required. , Minimum ExperienceFive (5) years of relevant experience requiredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong engineering and analytical skillsStrong systems and computer knowledgeStrong communication skills, inluding presentation skills, are essential.
