About the Role
We’re hiring an Office Assistant to join our team and provide office support in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As an Office Assistant, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, collecting co-pays, and ensuring client records are processed according to HIPAA guidelines. Your role will be key in supporting our team’s daily operations and providing excellent customer service to our clients.
Responsibilities
●Answer phones and take accurate messages for clients and supervisors
●Welcome clients, verify insurance, and collect co-pays
●Schedule appointments and coordinate client visits
●Review and distribute mail, faxes, and client records
●Ensure the accuracy and completion of documents in accordance with HIPAA regulations
●Perform other office duties as assigned, including filing and organizing paperwork
Required Qualifications
●High School Diploma or equivalent
●Experience in an office setting with receptionist, medical records, or administrative duties
●Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
●Ability to pass required pre-employment and subsequent background checks in accordance with PA State and Federal Law
Preferred Qualifications
●Experience in medical office settings or healthcare environments
●Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology
