Contract Length: 24+ months Location: Tampa, FL 33607 3 days onsite / 2 days remote (no fully remote option) We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver enterprise-level IT projects focused on SDLC and application development initiatives. This role is responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects, driving execution across cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery within budget, schedule, and performance expectations. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on project management experience with expertise in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, exceptional documentation and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate technical and business stakeholders effectively. Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple IT projects simultaneously, typically handling 35 active projects depending on scope and complexity Lead SDLC and application-focused initiatives from planning through execution and delivery Facilitate project meetings and maintain detailed meeting minutes and transcripts Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, timelines, and deliverables Track project progress, budgets, estimates, and resource allocation Maintain RAID logs including risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies Coordinate activities across internal IT teams, contractors, vendors, and business stakeholders Develop project scope definitions, cost estimates, schedules, and resource plans Ensure adherence to project management standards, methodologies, and best practices Drive effective utilization of SDLC methodologies and supporting infrastructure processes Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status effectively Identify project risks and collaborate with teams on mitigation strategies Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of project information repositories Translate complex technical information into business-friendly communication for various audiences Required Qualifications
Strong background in Information Technology with extensive experience managing SDLC and application development projects Proven hands-on IT project management experience Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in complex enterprise environments Strong understanding and practical experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies Experience with vendor management for IT projects Strong leadership, planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills Strong documentation and reporting experience, including forecasting time, cost, resources, and labor estimates Experience managing project budgets, milestones, RAID logs, and stakeholder communications Preferred Qualifications
Experience within the electric utility industry Experience with Azure DevOps and Smartsheets Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms Tools & Technologies
