CMA

Sanford Health is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our clinic and ambulatory care settings. As a CMA with Sanford Health, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff. In this role, you will room and prepare patients for visits, obtain and document vital signs and medical histories, and support clinical procedures to ensure safe, efficient, and comfortable experiences for every patient. You will administer medications and immunizations as ordered, perform tasks such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection, and accurately record all care provided in the electronic health record (EHR). You will help coordinate patient flow throughout the clinic, assist with scheduling and follow-up appointments, and reinforce provider instructions so patients and families clearly understand diagnoses, medications, and care plans. Working in one of the largest health systems in the nation, you will contribute to a culture of innovation, inclusion, and compassionate care, supporting our commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. You will follow established protocols for infection prevention, regulatory compliance, and privacy, while maintaining exam rooms, supplies, and equipment in a clean and ready state. In partnership with your team, you will participate in quality and safety initiatives, identify opportunities to improve the patient experience, and uphold Sanford Health’s standards of service excellence.
