Overview:
Sentara Health Plans is currently hiring a Patient Services Coordinator- Transportation Team- Remote in VA!
Status: Full-time, permanent position (40 hours)
Work hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F
Location: This is a remote position in VA with quarterly travel to VA Beach office for priority meetings
Job responsibilities:
- Processing requests for over mileage transportation requests/reimbursement/caregiver benefit in JIVA
- Processing food and lodging requests as related to transportation request
- Coordinating with members to identify providers within the 50-mile radius
- Issuing administrative denials for services related with providers
- Will process up to 30 authorizations per day
- Will make 8 to 30 calls/day to members, providers, and transportation vendor.
- Scheduling is done through calls and Modivcare app
Education
- HS - High School Grad or Equivalent REQUIRED
Certification/Licensure
- None required
Experience
- Healthcare- Previous Experience REQUIRED
- Health Plan, Medical and/or Behavioral Health experience preferred
- Jiva or EHR/EMR experience preferred
- Government Program or Commercial experience preferred
