Overview:
Sentara Health Plans is currently hiring a Patient Services Coordinator- Transportation Team- Remote in VA!
Status: Full-time, permanent position (40 hours)
Work hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F
Location: This is a remote position in VA with quarterly travel to VA Beach office for priority meetings
Job responsibilities:
  • Processing requests for over mileage transportation requests/reimbursement/caregiver benefit in JIVA
  • Processing food and lodging requests as related to transportation request
  • Coordinating with members to identify providers within the 50-mile radius
  • Issuing administrative denials for services related with providers
  • Will process up to 30 authorizations per day
  • Will make 8 to 30 calls/day to members, providers, and transportation vendor.
  • Scheduling is done through calls and Modivcare app

Education
  • HS - High School Grad or Equivalent REQUIRED

Certification/Licensure
  • None required

Experience
  • Healthcare- Previous Experience REQUIRED
  • Health Plan, Medical and/or Behavioral Health experience preferred
  • Jiva or EHR/EMR experience preferred
  • Government Program or Commercial experience preferred
