Technical Sales Manager – JDM/CM Hardware (Drone Systems & Subsystems) Aerora Technologies | Portland, OR | Onsite/Hybrid Aerora Technologies is seeking a highly driven Technical Sales Manager to support our growing JDM/CM hardware business across drone systems, motor subsystems, remote-controller subsystems, and emerging subsystem-level opportunities. This role combines technical customer engagement, program coordination, and commercial leadership—ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering and sales. What You'll Do Lead technical sales initiatives for drone systems, motor subsystems, remote-controller subsystems, and new subsystem business development. Coordinate closely on development issues, gathering technical feedback, aligning priorities, and ensuring cross-team clarity throughout the product lifecycle. Partner with engineering, program management, manufacturing, and quality teams at Asian development centers (China, Taiwan, Vietnam) to drive issue resolution and product readiness. Manage customer requirements and lead responses for RFx packages. Oversee pricing strategy, NRE/business agreement negotiations, and forecast accuracy. Develop technical sales strategies informed by customer needs, competitive analysis, and market trends. Strengthen and expand customer relationships through regular onsite visits and hybrid support. Identify and drive new business opportunities across system-level and subsystem-level segments. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree required; MBA is a plus. 3–5 years in technical sales, hardware sales, or JDM/CM business development, ideally in drones, aerial camera, robotics, or high-tech hardware. 3+ years of project or program management experience. NDAA experience - highly preferred. Proven experience supporting customers in high-tech, manufacturing, or component/system integration environments. Direct involvement in resolving cross-functional development issues (mechanical, electrical, firmware, testing, manufacturing, etc.). Experience working with Asian development centers is strongly preferred. Strong capability in RFQ response management, commercial negotiation, and customer communication. Excellent presentation, organizational, analytical, and cross-team coordination skills. Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
