Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles in accordance with DVSA regulations.
• Perform thorough inspections of vehicle components including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension.
• Identify any faults or issues that may affect vehicle safety and performance.
• Document inspection results accurately and provide detailed reports on findings.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during inspections and repairs.
• Assist with minor repairs or adjustments as necessary to ensure compliance.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Stay updated with changes in legislation and best practices related to vehicle testing.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
• Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools is essential.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during inspections or repairs.
• Previous experience as an MOT Tester is essential.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy workshop environment.
