About
Athena Home Health & Hospice is seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice CNA to join our team in the Torrington area. As a Hospice CNA, you will provide personalized care and support to patients in their homes, promoting comfort, dignity, and quality of life. This is a full-time position with weekly pay and competitive benefits. $22.25 an hour.
Candidate must have an active driver's license and an insured and reliable vehicle. Must be willing to travel throughout the area.
Responsibilities:- Provide personal care services to patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
- Assist with ambulation, exercise, and transfers as instructed by the hospice nurse or therapist
- Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the Case Manager
- Assist with self-administered medications, as allowed by state regulations
- Maintain patient's living area clean and orderly
- Provide emotional support and positive communication techniques to patients and families
- Must hold an active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Connecticut
- At least one year of CNA experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
