The St. Louis Recorder of Deeds Office is seeking a qualified individual to fill an open position for an Information Systems Administrator. This individual will be a key member of a team that leads the Recorders Office’s internal IT needs. The Recorder of Deeds is the custodian of over 200 years of public records history on the people and property of St. Louis. Most of the records are preserved in perpetuity using various mediums (hard copies, microfilm and/or electronically). Some records are closed records under Missouri law with limited access.
The City's Recorder of Deeds Office is the only office in Missouri providing one-stop shopping for birth, marriage, real estate, death, and old corporation records.
*POSITION DUTIES *
1. Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers, desktops and operating systems. To include:
a. Conduct regular system updates and patches.
b. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
c. Manage and troubleshoot issues related to DNS and DHCP.
d. Implement and manage Active Directory services.
e. Configure and maintain domain controllers and group policies.
f. Monitor and analyze system logs for potential issues.
g. Provide support for the following software applications:
a. AVID
b. APEX
c. Laredo
d. TN3270 (Vital Records)
e. ESET Antivirus
f. Scanning applications
2. Software development for in-house purposes.
3. Website development and maintenance
a. Internal application design and development
b. IT Server Support
c. IT Network Support
d. Assist with project planning and development
e. Assist with documentation projects
f. Support of various document recording software products
4. Plan and execute server and workstation migrations and upgrades.
5. Implement and manage file and print services.
6. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control in various systems to include:
a. Windows
b. Email (Google)
c. State Vital Records
d. DEX (Forte credit card processing)
e. US Bank (Credit Card Revolving Account)
f. AVID (Land Records Recording)
g. APEX (Marriage License)
h. Laredo (Both Internal and External Accounts)
i. Oracle and UKG
j. Google sheets and documents based on department needs
7. Install, configure, and maintain firewall and network devices.
a. Cisco ASA 5525 Firewall: Monitor, troubleshoot and reconfigure as necessary
b. Cisco Network Switches: Monitor, troubleshoot and reconfigure as necessary
c. Ubiquiti Cloudkey and Wireless Access points: Monitor, troubleshoot and reconfigure as necessary
d. Untangle content filter: Monitor, troubleshoot and reconfigure as necessary
e. Managing and troubleshooting network protocols and services.
8. Install, configure, and maintain Network Attached Storage
a. Presently this is an EMC solution.
9. Backup and recovery planning to ensure data integrity.
a. Currently using cloud storage.
b. Implement and manage system backups and data retention policies.
10. Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure network connectivity.
a. State of Missouri and City of St. Louis IT Staff
b. City IT Staff for Access to UKG and Oracle software systems
11. Provide technical support to in house desktop and hardware end-users.
a. This can be anything: login failures, access problems, printing issues, issues with credit card machines,
12. Document system(s) configurations
13. Implement virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V).
14. Perform system audits to ensure compliance with security standards.
a. Quarterly PCI compliance scans
15. Collaborate with vendors for hardware and software procurement.
16. Automate routine tasks through scripting (e.g., PowerShell).
17. Keep current with emerging technologies and best practices in IT administration.
18. Conduct/coordinate training sessions for end-users
19. Investigate and resolve security incidents and breaches. xhqgsiq
20. Work with Management and Employees to identify and implement solutions for various technology related problems within the office
21. Track software license purchases and use
22. Maintain inventory of all IT related systems within the RoD’s office
23. Work with Archives and Vitals on the conversion and importing of marriage licenses into APEX. Working to correct indexing errors in APEX
Pay: From $92,000.00 per year
